Third Rail is celebrating 20 years!

Way back at the turn of the century—before fax machines were completely obsolete—some of you were already along for the ride. Thanks to dynamic relationships with old and new clients, our agency has survived and thrived through the roller coaster of industry windfalls, recessions, pandemic uncertainties, social progress, and shifting work modes.

In 2001, we humbly launched from Mark’s home office with a tight network of freelancers to tackle projects. We’ve upgraded spaces over the years and have called the beautiful Johns-Hamilton Building in downtown Austin our home office since 2017. And we’ve built a cohesive and delightful team of pros who work seamlessly from four states across the U.S.

We’re proud to have two decades under our belts. And we thank you, our team of trusting, challenging, and engaging clients, whose friendships have shaped us and whose input has kept us sharp. Follow along on our social media as we take some self-indulgent strolls down memory lane. Here’s to glancing back and powering forward!

What our clients are saying

We are so grateful to the clients and team members that have partnered with us over the past two decades, and we’d like to highlight a few of their comments. Without them, we wouldn’t be the company we are today.

Arts Help

Third Rail was recently contacted by Arts Help—a non-profit that provides a network for like-minded artists with an interest in using art to enact social change—to help redesign their website in anticipation of announcing their Conscious Crypto Creator (CCC) movement.

We recently launched an interactive landing page to tell the story of the CCC movement and how artists can use their art and sustainable practices to contribute to the fight against the climate crisis.

We’ll also be helping Arts Help launch their full CCC Educational Experience in the near future. This hub will provide a series of Mini Master Classes to educate artists of all kinds about the intersection of art with cryptocurrency, NFTs, and sustainability. By completing the course, artists can become eligible for Arts Help’s $3.5 million Artist Grant.

Other future projects include making more resources available on their website and launching a clean NFT Marketplace for artists.

Hawkins Bucklew Jewlery Designs

As a local business, Third Rail Creative believes in the importance of giving back to our community. That’s why we created an internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team that planned an initiative to provide pro bono work to local small businesses.

This outreach program led us to Showroom 808, owned and operated by Sheila Hawkins Bucklew. The idea behind her business combines a social impact environment and a retail boutique that gives creative women entrepreneurs a shared workspace to collaborate, sell their products, and build community with other female creatives.

Showroom 808 and 3RC believe in lifting others, spotlighting new and emerging talent, and providing small businesses with helpful resources. With this in mind, we put together a new company logo and brand guidelines for Showroom 808 to better represent their creative message. The interlocking design of the logo represents the collaborative nature of the community.
